Who is Russell Fischer?
In the late 1920’s Russell Fischer and his family moved to the Ventura County. For over 80 years he called the area home where he was a successful citrus farmer. He spent his retirement years living in Camarillo and was an avid reader who visited the Camarillo Public Library almost daily. Mr. Fischer passed away in 2006 at the age of 93 and left a bequest of 2.7 million dollars to the Camarillo Public Library to further develop its business resources.
We honor Russell Fischer's memory with the ongoing development of the Russell Fischer Business Collection.
